After driving 300 miles hoping to get a deal on a great 1086 yesterday, only to not get it, Some one really wanted it, lack of supply up there I guess, and the fact that I cant seem to get local dealer to get back to me on a couple they have on the lot. I am shopping around.. Found a nice clean, later model Allis 7000 with 8000 hours, no power shift, power director maybe?, gotta go look at it. Like new tires hub duals, New 134A A/C and pump. Very, very clean tractor with a asking price close to $9000. I am an IH man, BUT, would this be a nice tractor for an 8 row planter, spreader, lighter tillage tractor? I am dealing on 5088-5288 tractors for the tillage tractor, but want a good planter tractor. Opinions? The 06's and the rest of the herd will get cleaned up, fixed up, and sold. After I have the machines to get the work done. I have too much going on so when it is time to go, I want to go.
