Biggest auction outfit close by is real bad about both. He has a slimmy jocky who sells loads of stuff at his consignment sales. If the jocky is bid'n on something at an estate or close out sale you have to stand right in front of the auctioneer and jump up and down so that EVERY ONE can see you or the jocky will get what ever it is for his open'n bid.
The flip side was a few years ago at an estate sale a young guy maybe early 20's was crawl'n all over this one 1066, you could just see the look in his eye, he was in love. He had the open'n bid at $6000. Bought it for $10,500. No one else bid, auctioneer was take'n "bids" off the tobacco barn behind him, there was no one back there.
