Some people say to take an pipe that is the right size and slowly screw it in and or also you can cut a couple slits in that pipe about 1/2 inch long and screw it in. Most of the time unless the treads are 100% gone doing that works fine. If real gone you can get some exhaust pipe puddy stuff and sort of glue it in done that before also
