One more pass over the field and the trees will be going in. Mid-Michigan. Soil is nice and dry. Well, dry enough to plant trees. Few of the other farmers have been out doing tillage work.
Always plant first weekend in April. If I could have predicted the warm 80F March we had, I could have planted the first week of March. Trees really don"t care too much about soil temps. Stick them in the ground and go.
