I've just bought two batteries in the past month. One for the 6400, which I changed size for a plastic batery box that it sits in; deler wanted $300 for the right one, and the JD 'Strongbox' that I did use was $200. The previous 'Strongbox' that came out was 7 years old. Real good battery, I'd say. The other was for the mower. The old one was a 300 amp battery, the new one that went in was a 400 amp, for $58. The old one was original, and has been on it for about 5 years. No complaints.
