The Stevens 311 shot gun was probably the last us made sxs shot gun.Sold for a bit over 100 bucks new.Very solid basic shotgun, no snob appeal.Birch wood stock and fore end.My son has one my Uncle gave him over 40 years ago.The major makers gave up making a single shot shot guns.Then H&R and NEF proved they were wrong.I bought a single shot 20 gauge NEF years ago.Its called the Youth Model 22 inch barrel,modifed choke.As I get older its my favorite.The gun cost 88 bucks.Ive taken 2 wild turkey with my old 12 gauge Stevens single shot that cost 29 bucks new.makes me smile when I see the high priced camo turkey guns.I see the Stevens 311 selling for 3 to 400 bucks now.Our money is becoming worthless.
