Gdad was a vet, and had to go look at a dead horse in a stall many years ago. As I recall, the animal was about three or four years old, and had been in perfect health the day before he was found. Nobody had a clue as to what caused the death, but granddaddy looked at the horse's teeth and noticed they were blackened. Looking around, he found a lighting wire the owner had nailed to the back of the stall boards, and the had a bunch of tooth marks where the nag had been chewing on the board and the wire. Guess he took one bite too much.....
