Ive never heard of a CPS that just semi works,they either do or dont! It almost sounds like a loose wire(s) going to the valve cover gasket. Engine was warm ,wires made good enough contact, engine cold they dont. Also pop the lid on the fuel bowl and see if theres fuel in there. Did the temps, by chance, drop last night?
