Thought that was my problem today. No such luck. Loading manure yesterday,the float stuck on the 1020 Deere a couple of times. I whacked it with a pair of fencing pliers and straightened it out every time. Stopped at noon today to eat dinner. Went back out and something was running down the side of the engine. Thought GREAT,float's stuck,it's sitting in the barn,the way my luck's been going,I'll catch it on fire and burn the barn down. Nope,wasn't gas. Antifreeze. Not a bypass hose like I'd hoped. Blown head gasket. Just what I needed. Sure raised the spirits. And yes,that's sarcasm.

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion.
