Tuesday, went out to start the core aerator, checked the gas in the honda motor, had a full tank, smelled good, so I wheeled it out, opened up the fuel valve, closed the choke, and gave her a few tugs. Nuthin! Gave her a half a shot of ether, for diagnostic purposes, ran like a honda on ether, then died. Popped the gas cap, thinking there might be a goo-ball blocking the pipe, and beheld a bright shiny empty tank! I had opened the gas tank on the motorized fertilizer spreader, which sits next to the aerator, in the barn!
