Things we do, then forget!

Every fall right before snow flies, I go around and pick up any
tools I don't want left out for the winter. I always pick up my
maul and sledge hammer from my wood area, were I have
logs delivered. Well I got 2 truck loads of logs in febuary. All
nice straight ash, red maple, cherry and some sugar maple,
alot of small diameter logs. Well I can split most of it by hand
faster than on my wood splitter, i looked all over this place for
my maul, barn, garage, basement, woodshed, and lawn shed. And looked again,,
Couldent find it anywhere! Even in the wood lot as we had no
snow to bury it. Today I decided to pitch the foot of loose hay
out of the box of my Dakota, wouldn't you know it low and
behold there was my trusty maul, along with a pry bar I lost
once found and lost again under the hay. I knew I dident
leave the maul outside,,, just don't remember putting it in my
truck. Lol

Wait, till you get my age. I would loose my arz, if it wasn't attached.
How are things going there. Is Jim still camping out in Florida?

Hi, good to hear from you! Everything is going good, im getting used to having a baby girl now.,,,,but I hate the muddy clay! Yes Jim is doing good, left for Florida on Feb 15th. So I'm helping with his cows again. Jim gets around but has bad legs, but he still does his thing everyday. Hope you are doing well.

Tuesday, went out to start the core aerator, checked the gas in the honda motor, had a full tank, smelled good, so I wheeled it out, opened up the fuel valve, closed the choke, and gave her a few tugs. Nuthin! Gave her a half a shot of ether, for diagnostic purposes, ran like a honda on ether, then died. Popped the gas cap, thinking there might be a goo-ball blocking the pipe, and beheld a bright shiny empty tank! I had opened the gas tank on the motorized fertilizer spreader, which sits next to the aerator, in the barn!

Last year when we started to set up for sugaring, I couldn't find my bag tie twister, so I bought a new one. The old one showed up somewhere in the sugar house during the season.

Fast forward to this year, the old one was right where I left it, new one nowhere to be found. Yesterday my girlfriend cleaned out my old pickup that was headed to the scrap yard. I asked her if she found anything important, "Guess what I found under the seat."

A couple months ago we were moving a church member to a new house. One of the elders showed up with his old pick-up with a pile of leaves and crap in the front of the bed. He thought we would just put stuff on top of the pile. Well I told him that we needed all of the space, and after arguing for ten minutes he finally agreed to clean it out. Wrenches, hammers, load straps, parts, a chain, stuff he had forgot that he had, under that pile of leaves.
