All I can tell you is I had a real late 4010 Gas within the last 100 built that when I went to Deere for parts I had to take the engine serial# distributer# and the tractors serial#. I think it was a half and half tractor but it sure had the power and not bad on gas. It would pull 5x16s in 4th gear and keep right up with dads 1850 diesel pulling 5x16s in 5th gear. I ran T-rail duals on my 4010 and it dose help with flotation and it pulled easer with the extra traction. If he rebuilt it with a 4020 kit theres not much diffrence between the 4010 and an early 4020. Bandit
