I have the complete tractor manual for it. I looked, I believe, in chapter three, fuel systems, carburetor adjustment. I went step by step from what was described. The manual states if theses adjustments don't work need to adjust govenor linkage. However, unless there is another section that describes how to adjust the govenor linkage that I can't find, that is all it states.
was it running ok earlier? yes
what changed? does not idle with hand lever all the way forward (or up), rpm's don't increase until I pull hand lever back (or down) about 3/4 of the way
what did you mess with? I attempted the carb adjustments with the throttle screw at the back of the carb and the mixture screw at the front of the carb.
do you run gas with alcohol in it? no, gas without ethanol
does it run better with the choke pulled out a bit? yes, if the choke is pulled out half way, it will idle better with hand lever all the way up (or forward)....idle
