I don't think it costs as much as: psychiatrist, therapist, etc. Way cheaper that sitting in the tavern. Much better caliber people that in the tavern. Wife knows where I'm at and what I'm doing. Way cheaper to come home with grease on my collar rather than lipstick.She figures it's pretty hard to pick up chicks on a tractor, but worried about when I had flashy cars and bikes. Also much less grief from her in general. Much easier to hide the cost of hobby. If I show up with a shiny new Harley or hot rod she'll notice right away. When I show up with another project/parts tractor she doesn't notice. If she does ask the explanation that "I had that one for ever", or "I bought that one cheap for parts" seems to keep her content anyway.
