I have a frend who droped the narrow front end of his 6000 ford in a wash out and broke off the shaft that the front pedistal bolts to. I pulled out the front bolster and replaced the shaft and the two short 1/4 hoses. The problem is that when you start the tractor it pulls the steering wheel out of your hands and goes all the way to the left, or right, somethimes center, and the hyd. press holds it there. I have an I&T service manual but it doesnt cover much on the steering. I know I have the two gears on the shaft right as they have master splines. Anyone else had this problem? Whats the cure? Thanks, Mike
