I was running 212/100+ in the mornings and was feeling bad. After I finally forced myself to recognize the fact that I was no longer 18 and pills are the way seniors survive, I went to the Dr. and got some relief.
The worst time of day for me is in the AM before I take my pill. This AM it was 149/80 72P. I can live with that. As the pill kicks in it will drop to the 120's/60's. There are no side effects and my lifestyle hasn't had to change to accommodate the medication with the exception of part of the pill (the last half) is to reduce water in your body to reduce the pressure on your blood veins (referred to as a water pill)........Sooooo that means you are somewhat of a potty hugger.......but with all else considered, not that bad of a deal.
Medication is Lisinop/HCTZ 25 mg.
To ease things, for us seniors, I also accidentally found a product named Urinozinc (R) Prostrate Formula which has a US Patent. I take 2 ea twice a day. Has really, really helped and no trips to the Dr. to mess you up if you know what I mean. Also has made the potty trips function as they are supposed to, none of the crisis things that occurred before taking this, you feel relieved and fewer trips. Wally World sells it for about $10-14 depending upon whether you get the original formula or the new with added ingredients. Both work for me.
