Hi, I am looking for any and all information I can find on this new to me forklift. It is looking like it will turn into a complete restoration so any info can help as there is not much out there on google.
It has the following numbers by the starter 40506DS 142185
It is a 4 cylinder Diesel forklift with a large cast counterweight over the steer tires. You sit facing the mast (backwards to traditional tractor) and all controlls are engineered that way as well.
The Mast has the following numbers stamped into a plate on it
4212-181
I am wondering what transmission is in it. as well as information on hydraulic components as many will have to be re-built. Also if anyone knows of any parts dealers as CNH has no info on this unit.
I believe it is based on some kind of a 4000 tractor frame
