Here's the main panel in a foreclosed farm-house I bought in northern Michigan. Roof had been leaking for years - right over the panel. Also was terribly mis-wired. Several 14 gauge wires stuck onto 20 and 30 amp breakers, etc. Two breakers (20 and DB 30) would not lock on at all. Tore it all apart, cleaned it up, rewired and stuck in two new breakers. Worked out fine ,but I had a heck of a time finding replacement Wadsworth breakers.

Later, I found the 100 amp underground service to the barn had the wires drilled though with a fence-post auger (aluminum URD cable). Somebody just twisted the wired together and wrapped in masking tape and reburied. What a mess!
