I have approximately 100 feet of 6 foot diameter galvanized culvert. It is made up of bolt together sections.
I was thinking that I could make some small hopper bottomed bins from part of it. Does anyone know if there is a formula or some way other than trial and error, to make a side draw cone for the bottome end of the bin?
My thought was to have the sheets sit on a base and continue up for 20 feet to form the bin itself. The side draw cone would dump to the outside of the sidewall with a slide gate mounted just outside the side sheet. The dumping spout would be just high enough to slide a pail under.
I do have a formula for making the coned roof on the topside but nothing for a side draw.
