Mike, I know that George in MD is the guy to talk to. He invented Lock N Stitch, now based in Turlock CA, and it's amazing. They can either fix your friend's manifold, or sell him the stuff he needs to fix it himself. Like George, who talked to me at length on the phone, the people in Turlock are good people. My son and I fixed the cracked rear end on my New Holland over a year ago and it still doesn't leak. You can also search it on Tractor Talk. I Highly recommend.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for �200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
