Dave : RRlund is very mistaken about these Spreaders. They have very heavy augers and with the third auger to roll the manure back toward the front they work great. Also I stated you need to be looking a the V-Max model they came out about 7-8 years ago the rear opening is much bigger and the augers supports are bronze bushings not plastic. Rrlund must have used an older model that had the small rear door and did not have the augers supports. Also the third auger is an option that you need for pen pack.
I have one of these that I use every week. I load pen pack that is three foot deep into it. I also clean up around my hay feeders each spring. It does a much better job than a side slinger spreader. Much simpler spreader.
