Any of you guys had the classic "heater blend door failure" on one of these models. The blend door motor snaps the shaft right off the plastic door rendering it useless. My wife's failed this AM (full cold of course). I net searched it and literally THOUSANDS of people have had this failure. I guess many attempts were/are being made for a recall/class action suit. I can fix it-found an excellent tutorial online with photos, BUT...if one fixes their own that leaves one out for any compensation or recourse cuz I'm not an "authorized dealer". But, more importantly, anyone found an easier fix? It looks like an 8 hour fix.
