David, This little jag of rain we got here at the house, (the weekend, & week before, and weekend of Christmas got 1.5 ins here in far N.W. Williamson County). The top 10 ins of soil is wet still need a lot more rain to get the water tables right and Area Lakes in a more near normal levels. The Upper Tx Panhandle got the Snow and Rain a few days prior to Christmas. At my MiLs & FiLs home at Stratford TX 6 to 8 in on the level, Drifts 1 to 2 feet in places. We drove home Christmas Day left at 5:30 am, Clear skys,15* degrees, Headed South...Got to Amarillo and What do you Know.... Snowed hard on us all the way to Lubbock shifted into 4X4, and drove 40 to 50 all the way. Ran out of the Snow storm on the South side of Lubbock. Was wet on us All the way to Sweetwater and dry roads the rest of the way home, after the rains fell, was nice to get it non-the-less! Very nice Christmas gift!!! Later, John A.
