You don't understand, the contract to fix the buildings is NOT about fixing buildings! The highway department fixing roads is NOT about providing you roads so you can get to town. The local social/human services department is NOT about helping people get better. You ask then WHAT are they all about? Union jobs and compensation for political supporters so the unions can give more of YOUR money to the politicians that will give them MORE work so they can give MORE money to the politicians. Until we are smart enough to de-elect (just made that up) any politician that gets government union backing we'll continue to have these problems.
