Be careful with holding that truck. Can do that in Indiana as well. A few years ago near me some kids were out in a corn field doing Figure-8's and all kinds of damage, and the owner caught them, held them until the Sheriff showed up and took the driver and a passenger into custody. The farmer, owner opted to hold the truck which he could do legally. And just to make sure that it didn't go anywhere from where he stopped it, he used his small dozer to push dirt up to the front and back, locking it in place. Sometime during one of the nights that he had it, it got picked clean of all of its nifty parts, tires, and all kinds of stuff. The farmer, owner found himself owning more to the kid that owned that truck than the kid owed him for the damage he did to the crops. Noone ever found out if it was the kid that owned it, one of his friends, or jus another bad guy. At least in Indiana, part of confiscating property, like that truck, is assuming responsibility for its safety.
Glad you caught the low life predatores, but just be careful that the predatores don't turn the tables and become the victims. And, with what our society is becoming, it doesn't take much for the bad guys to have people take their sides to make the actual victims the bad guys.
