Along similar lines---for the same topic, I have not seen memory cards, flash drives, etc. cheaper than they are right now. Generally under $1 per GB.
Example, the other day I saw a 64 GB flash drive for $47.
However back to the original topic---just so you are aware---there are different data transfer speeds for SD, SDHC, and micro-etc. cards which are called classes. 2,4,6,8, with 10 being the fastest.
Depending upon what device you will be using a card in you may need to consider the class rating required for it.
