Many things come into play on this problem. 6 or 12 volts makes a difference as to how it starts and how to maybe fix. Other things like mag or distributor?? Things you need to check are how is your spark?? Is it a nice blue/white color and will it jump a 1/4 inch gap or more?? Also is the air cleaner clean and full of oil like it should be or is it full of dirt and water?? Another thing is to start when cold they need more fuel so opening up the main jet a 1/2 turn or so may help
