I"ve got a problem with a City cop that moved to the country. He lives on a half acre lot and got permission to hunt his neigbors acre and a half lot that backs up to our 30 acre woodlot. He said he has permission to hunt the woodlot. I show both of them the property corner stones and tell them to stay on their side. So far I"ve taken down three feeders with timers, and seven climbing tree stands. Season opened last Saturday and the cop came to my house demanding I return his equipment, said he has pictures of me on his trail cams stealing his stuff and is going to prosecute for theft of over $500. I told him if he doesn"t have permission it"s not theft, in fact he"s trespassing. I went looking for trail cams and found two so far. On Friday he shows up with a local cop who"s telling me I have to return their equipment or they"re going to press charges. I told them I didn"t know what they were talking about and if they have a problem take me to court.
