Thats about right to low. I put a truck into San Antionio two weeks ago, cost me 3500 in freight plus the cost of the hay and another truck into Plano for 2500. The higher bill was for a 53 foot trailer. Both loads were going to brokers. Thats 83 dollars and 65 dollars per roll in freight. Plus the cost of the hay. Its got to be inside stored with good strings though. Im at 35 to 45 depending on when the orders were booked. My hay, and what I bought early Im at 35, been there for years, what Im buying now Ive got to get 45 out of with what I've been having to pay and its getting hard to find 4x5's inside stored at any price.
A load of squares went out today, pretty nice alfalfa, better than 80 percent with balance orchard grass. 1075 miles each way, they came and got it, 6.50 per bale for the hay put on the trailer but not stacked.
