You know, I think about that too. The biggest combines today are bumping up against a physical size issue. They can't go any wider or taller or they can't be hauled down the road, or driven down the road as far as that goes. So they have to cram more crop material through a space that can't be made any bigger. Here in Iowa combines aren't trucked to the next job but in the high plains area where the great wheat harvest ritual takes place every summer, transporting combines for many miles to the next job is part of the harvest.
