Depends on what you use it for. I have all 7.3 diesels. One 1990 w/ 440,000 miles. Not afraid to take it anywhere. It's my daily driver and approximately 18+/gal. and cheap to fix. Injection pump rebuild was $185.00 and injectors around $25/pc. Standard transmission not a fast truck. Pulled trailer and load approximately 13000#. got 12.5/gal. The other two are powerstroke (7.3) and both have over 300,000 miles and use no oil and still run like new. They are alot more expense to fix when you have a problem. I needed trucks that able to run some miles. I think I've done well. But if just around town I would probaly by a gas.
