Just bought a battery today for my old 900 Case. Had a group 31 commercial battery that I bought 4 years ago, been giving me trouble all summer. Went to Farm & Fleet for the same battery- $85, 4 year warranty. The same CCA in their best (Platinum) auto battery was $80 with a 7 year warranty and 3 year free replacement. Guess which one I bought? Are the commercial batteries better? I don't think the tractor cares, and since it was a carry-out sale, the warranty is good no matter what I put it in. The auto battery I have in my 560 is 6 years old, and going strong. My 3 medium duty straight trucks will get auto batteries the next time around also. Longer warranty, less cost.
