Lou, I have used the mcafee removal tool on several computers without a problem. it shouldd not have bothered your driver for your network interface. if you have a recovery disc then you should be able to either do a windows repair or reinstall the drivers needed. there is also a possibility you have some malware causing this. I have seen bugs block the internet in the past. however if you do a reformat and reload then you will get rid of the problems, or should. as long as you have important files saved on a cd or dvd then that is sometimes the best way.
