I have been told by veterinarians that the cheap stuff is cheaper not because of the active ingredient (which is the same ivermectin whether it costs $50 or $250), but because of the carrier. The carrier is what is responsible for a different withdrawal time. So it is basically up to you: do you want the active ingredient in the animal's system for a couple of days, or do you want it in there for the duration of a whole life cycle of the parasite? I believe you get what you pay for, not only this time around, but also by keeping the parasites from developing resistance quicker over time.
