It has been awhile since I used one but what I remember is the larger screen goes on top and the finer screen goes on the bottom and they only go one direction. There should be an exhaust port on the side somewhere that blows out of the machine. There should be two ports on the ends of the screen assemblys that brings the clean grain out one and the gleanings out the other one. It shook a lot and was a messy job from what I remember. Mine had several different size screens for cleaning various crops.
