nah--only time I need to take him anywhere is to the vet--he gets to run on quite a few acres and hasn't left our fence. he mostly stays in the house. last time I looked for a harness couldn't find one that would fit. I'm a fairly strong fella, but that dog is around 200 pounds and if he really wants to go somewhere he is a handful. I couldn't imagine taking him around alot of people-he likes attention, but usually puts the fear of god in people when he comes running up to them due to his size. another not mentioned issue with travelling with him is the slobber he gets while riding shotgun with his big old head out the window--streaks the whole side of my truck when we run to town to grab a burger--he takes his dry without vegetables.
