Distributor for 2.8 Ford V6? Check the hot rod forums for Ford Taunus and Ranger parts. If I remember right the narrow angle 2.8 came from the German Taunus line and the 4.1 ranger engine was a long stroke- 4 inch or so- variation that would fit in place of a 2.3 4cylinder. Some hotrod equipment was made for both, early Taunus had distributors and the offroad players used them for couple years after the EPA mandate electronics. If you"re going to keep tranny case, don"t gut it and as noted you can have granny gears and with 5th gear overdrive a "road" gear. 2.8 engine can be hot rodded if you don"t have to meet emissions tests- there are a couple other sizes for that block beside the 4.1 RN
