Not a big deal if you forgot to engage it first. What happens is the sliding collar that connects the tranny to the pto shaft falls down and has to be reinstalled. Remove the 3 bolts that hold the pto handle onto the tractor. Then you can reach in and reinstall the collar. Pretty straightforward. You will see what you need to do when you open it up.
