I did talk to grandad.. I actually forgot about it, but I called him today.. He said the best he recalls, it was a flathead 6 cylinder Continental Red Seal in his..
He couldn't recall off the top of his head what size, or the oil filter it used, but he thinks he still has that stuff wrote down in a old book in the file cabinet and he will try to look either tomorrow morning or in the evening when he gets home from tiling.
Are you fixing one up, or did you happen to get an engine from one? If you're redoing one, I'd be interested to see how it goes.. I always thought it'd be neat to find one and make it look good, even if it didn't work all that well.
