If it is a common tractor then the value is creeping down. The Big money for old tractors days are over. It has to be something special to still bring the big money.
The market for cheap usable diesels is going up a little because many are wanting away from the hassles that the new gas formulas are causing. People are also wising up about wanting live/independent PTO and power steering. The old Fords that don't have either, are half the price they where just a few years ago here in North East Iowa.
The market is changing. Many of the younger generations are not into tractors at all. They never grew up around them. The shrinking of the farm population is showing up in the demographics of tractor buyers. This generation is much more likely to buy a new off brand than an older name brand tractor. Just think of all of the Asian imports that are showing up now in the USA.
