Starting out on my own farm I bought quite a few Auction tractors at different times but settled on the AC brand. In the first 10 years all my tractors were AC with the WD45 gas being the ractor of choice at the time. I heard of a AC WD45 diesel for sale and as I admired the diesels looks a lot I went ahead and bought it.What a mistake. Before I could use it much I had to replace the head. It never was a good starter and that was a no-no on a dairy farm.Then after the first real planting season I had to replace the head again.It kept cracking the water jacket. Finally I got mad and went to see my cousin who was a saleman for the local AC dealer and traded the diesel off on a new AC D17 gas.Good tractor,I kept it as long as I farmed,
