I burn pallets at the shop all the time, a friend builds new pallets and always has to haul off his suppliers old ones. I have best luck using a circurlar saw to cut them up instead of chain saw. In process building new wood stove so wont have to cut them up any more. They sure put off good heat. My 2 cents worth.
