If memory serves me correctly, (and at ten twenty at night I ain't going out to check), there two terminals side by side and one midways just above. That one is ground. You can use a multimeter and check voltage on the plug to find Hi and Lo beam, and even ground. And no, I don't think they are both lit on Hi beam. It's the angle of the reflection that changes. I stand to be corrected, as it has been some time since I have had to deal with a sealed beam, although I personally did not see the necessity to change to the crap that they have now.
