Seriously,have any of you ever had a calf that you KNEW was lost to a coyote? The boys have shot a few and are always looking for them,but I'm starting to rethink the whole thing. I've never known them to bother calves,at least none of mine,but I'm thinking if we leave them alone,they might get some of these problem ground birds,turkeys,geese and sandhill cranes. Wolves,that's a different story,but from what I'm seeing the coyotes aren't much more of a threat than a fox. Am I right or wrong?
