The tractor is "exhausting" through the intake on the #1 cylinder. I loosened the rocker on the intake, so the intake valve couldn"t open and the back fire started. I then re-adjusted the rocker and tightened the rocker on the exhaust valve so it could close. The backfire continued, but may lessened a little.
I"m scratching my head on this one. I expected to find a bad push rod or rocker arm.
