Can't agree 5.7s were junk. We've had two of them, a '79 Delta 88 and '80 Sedan de Ville. The Olds was most troublesome only because Roosa-Master was experimenting with space-age polymers they didn't know anything about. When they became Stanadyne and threw away that frigging E-ring away, injector pump trouble disappeared. They got 28-30 MPG and outlasted the cars they were in. Still have the '80 engine, installed it in a '71 C-30 with a camper. Not a world burner, but the C-30 had such a high rear end ratio, made it ok for short haul camping trips. Still gets 15 MPG
