Donald, Most of the local Sale Barns here in Central Texas are running near capacity Lampasas ran 1700 to 1800 3&4 weeks ago 2 weeks ago in the 2500 range. Sale was today I expect sale to be in the 2000 range. Comanche Tx ran 2500 to 3000 3&2 weeks ago don't know about the is week. Fredricksburg Tx has run Balls to the wall too lately, Just like Meridian Txmost all sale barns here in Texas! Cattle will be high for the duration. What will be the hot commodity are young heifers calves that are held for the next 18 months, made into young cows, sold /w calves at side and bred back.....a man will more than double today's sale prices, more like 3 times .....The rub will be what to do for a Home for the next 18 months. Later, John A.
