I've used hundreds of steel bar joists (not from Armour), can't beat the price/function which is why you see them in commercial buildings (and all my houses). Don't know about a 16' trailer though, usually considerably longer. The ones we had shipped to South Carolina, found them in West Va., are for a 450 ton roof, 46' clear span. Amazingly cheap, delivered.

Try a regional craigslist search, or ebay. Normally they're built per order through a steel co. If you find some sitting around the price is generally great.
