I think you got the best leads below already, not so much cobblers, but saddlemakers, harness shops, the buffers are popular with streetrod shops and gunsmiths. IMHO, none of this is junk unless it is 'junk'. Don't scrap it off the bat, try to store it all under cover and do your hunting. Seriously, horsey people are top of the list for leads in the right direction. Good luck!
