If you decide to do it yourself, and it isn't that hard, especially if you are just looking for a decent job you can't go wrong with John Deere paint. Get the hardener and reducer from them also. It is a basic old fashioned synthetic enamel and not hard to use. I'm not an experien ced painter, but I have done four of them with it. The oldest has been painted for over 25 years and is a "using" tractor. It's a bit faded but the paint is still doing its job protecting the metal. You probably already have a compressor and you can get a cheap gun for under $50. If you don't like it you can sand it off and you won't be out much. The work is all in the prep.
